Our Prayer Evenings at the St. John Paul II Center
This is the vision of the European Mission Campus (EMC),
and since September 15, 2025, I have been right in the middle of it!
Rays of Hope in Everyday Life
Hello everyone!
Mission does not only happen in far-off places, but also very tangibly right here in Vienna. Over the past few weeks, we were able to experience once again how the St. John Paul II Center becomes a place of peace and strength. For us as the EMC team, our prayer evenings are a highlight every single time, where we can recharge our batteries alongside other young people.
Praise, Word, and Silence
The evening follows a rhythm that speaks to both heart and mind. We start with praise and worship—music that helps us cast off the day's burdens and align ourselves fully with God.
One segment is the catechesis, which is prepared each time by one of us missionaries. It is exciting to see how my fellow team members share their personal experiences and faith—truly authentic and relevant to daily life. The conclusion and climax of the evening is Eucharistic Adoration. In the silence before the Blessed Sacrament, we bring everything that moves us and the people of this city before God.
Growing Together
These evenings show me time and again: we are not alone on this journey. It is so encouraging to see that people long for this deep encounter with Jesus. Your financial support enables us to prepare these evenings, use the facilities, and be present as missionaries—as people of prayer, listeners, and companions.
Thank you for having our backs so that we can create such places of encounter with God right in the heart of Vienna!
All my love and God's blessings,
Nici
