Back to Bonn

A Weekend with a Neocatechumenal Community

Back with the Team – A Weekend Full of Faith in Bonn

Hello dear friends,

Before my adventure with the EMC started in September, I was already deeply involved in a team of catechists for the Neocatechumenal Way. That made it all the more wonderful for me to return to Bonn now for a special weekend, accompanying a community of the Neocatechumenal Way alongside my fellow team members.

A Weekend Full of Intensity

It was a few days filled with spiritual nourishment that moved me deeply. Together, we listened to catecheses that challenged us to make faith relevant and alive in our daily lives in a whole new way. During the times of reflection, there was plenty of space to let what we heard sink in and to ask ourselves honestly: where do I stand right now on my walk with God?

The liturgical moments we shared were especially powerful—from Lauds (morning prayer) to the liturgy of reconciliation, where we were able to experience God's mercy in a very real way, to the festive celebration of the Eucharist on Sunday. It was a true celebration of community that showed how God works through the Word and the Sacrament.

Mission Means: Bearing Witness

For me, serving in these familiar surroundings once again was a valuable experience. Seeing how people draw fresh hope and are strengthened in their faith through the proclamation gives me an incredible amount of energy back for my daily work in Vienna. It serves as a reminder that all of us—no matter where we stand—are continuously invited to discover God's love anew.

A Contemplative Outlook

I am returning to the EMC with a full heart and renewed strength. These days in Bonn showed me once again: when we open the door to God, He begins to work great things within us.

Thank you for accompanying me through your prayers and support. You are a part of every single one of these journeys and encounters!

All my love and God's abundant blessings,

Nici
